Gorilla Capital invests in Skanio

Gorilla Capital Fund III has made it’s 50th investment in Skanio — a technology company bringing digital tools and AI to the elevator modernization industry.

Skanio’s platform captures and organizes data about elevators and their environments. With accurate digital information available, companies can prepare modernization plans more efficiently, improve the accuracy of tenders, and reduce costly quality issues.

“From day one, our ambition with Skanio has been to redefine how the elevator industry operates by bringing intelligence and automation into everyday workflows,” says Alessandro Pilone, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Skanio. “With Gorilla Capital joining us, we can continue building tools that help the industry work more efficiently and bring modern digital capabilities into a critical global infrastructure sector.”

“The elevator modernization market is large and growing, yet the industry still operates with limited access to reliable data about existing installations,” says Risto Rautakorpi, Partner at Gorilla Capital. “Skanio addresses this bottleneck by making that information visible and usable. What stood out to us is the team’s ability to translate industry insight into practical technology and steadily turn learning from the market into product development and execution.”
