Sebastian Geust joins Gorilla Capital Team

We’re happy to welcome Sebastian Geust to the Gorilla Capital team. Sebastian’s first focus will be sourcing early-stage opportunities in the Baltics and building relationships with founders in the region. At the same time, he’ll onboard step by step into the Gorilla way of investing — learning how we evaluate startups and work with founders building companies the camel way.

Sebastian already has some early exposure to the venture world through his family office, Ikorni-Invest, where he has seen the venture process up close.

Why did you choose to join Gorilla Capital?

”To me, Gorilla Capital and the Camel philosophy represent an essential part of the startup ecosystem. The focus on resilient companies that can endure uncertainty resonates strongly with how I think about building lasting value,” says Sebastian Geust, Gorilla’s new Investment manager.

“Venture can sometimes be portrayed as throwing darts blindfolded, but in reality, good venture is about understanding risk and probability and using it to your advantage. Early-stage investing is inherently uncertain, but that doesn’t make it random. By focusing on founders who deeply understand their problems and companies built to survive difficult environments, you increase the likelihood of long-term success. Gorilla’s Camel philosophy embodies exactly that thinking, which is why I’m excited to join the team.”

Warmly welcome to the Gorilla team, Sebastian!
