In the summer of 2017, Frick, who was employed in business development in the automotive industry after graduating from Hanken, and realized how hard it was to sell his own car. He launched his own service in the spring of the following year.
Autovex is a competition service of car dealerships for consumers selling their cars & a purchasing tool for car dealerships.
“In the traditional marketplace, you place an ad and wait for a call. Our software, on the other hand, actively connects buyers and sellers.”
For the first year and a half, Frick worked alone and developed the service with the help of an outsourced coding function. Now the company employs 30 people.
In 2022, 12,000 cars were sold through Autovex, and at the end of the same year Schibsted became the main owner of the company. Autovex continues as a separate company and aims for international growth under Frick’s leadership.
